We’ll split this section between the 2 OSes that Joruna support. Check Register and download Joruna to download the Joruna installer on your computer. You have then downloaded a zip file which containes the Joruna app installer, and the Joruna Lightroom plugin. So let’s unzip its content and install everything.

Windows

Supported version: Windows 10 and above.

  1. Install the Joruna app Double-click on Joruna-setup.exe and follow the steps. We strongly recommend installing Joruna in the proposed folder (C:\Program Files\Joruna). In a matter of seconds the Joruna app is installed.

  2. Install the Joruna Lightroom plugin This step is mandatory for Joruna to work together with Lightroom.

    1. Please make sure that Lightroom is shut down and that you have a backup of your catalog.
    2. Copy the file joruna.lrplugin to C:\Program Files\AppData\Adobe\Lightroom\Modules.
    3. You can now start Lightroom and make sure that Joruna is activated by looking at File > External modules manager. Joruna should appear in the list on the left hand side with a little green icon next to it.
    4. We’re done!

MacOS

Supported version: MacOS 10.8 and above, Mac Intel or Apple Silicon.

  1. Install the Joruna app Double-click on Joruna-setup.img and drag and drop the Joruna app in your Applications folder. We strongly recommend installing Joruna in this Applications folder. In a matter of seconds the Joruna app is installed.

  2. Install the Joruna Lightroom plugin This step is mandatory for Joruna to work together with Lightroom.

    1. Please make sure that Lightroom is shut down and that you have a backup of your catalog.
    2. Copy the file joruna.lrplugin to /Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Modules (Open Finder, Click Go in a Menu bar, Hold the Option key to reveal the Library folder in the drop-down list, Select Library).
    3. You can now start Lightroom and make sure that Joruna is activated by looking at File > External modules manager. Joruna should appear in the list on the left hand side with a little green icon next to it.
    4. We’re done!
