Review your photos from Lightroom

Last update: 2022-03-29

The results provided by Joruna depend on two main criterias: the visibility of unique identifiers on the photos and the quality of the keys files. That’s why the review phase is recommended but not mandatory: with clear identifiers on the photos and a well defined keys file, the need of a review tends to zero. This ideal scenario is not the standard case, which leads to suggestions instead of clearly matched items, unmatched items or even false positives.

We’ve tried to make the review process the easiest and fastest possible. For that:

  1. In Lightroom, go to the Library module,

  2. Select the photos your want to review. They must have been previously analysed with Joruna. You can use your usual combinations of star rating, color tags, etc,

  3. In the menu bar click on Library > External module - Extras > Joruna - Review selection,

  4. Joruna opens. The following screen is displayed:

    From here you can:

    • Go to the previous or next photo,
    • Sync the displayed photo on Lightroom, useful if you’ve selected another photo within Lightroom,
    • Click on a suggestion to mark it as a key, if any suggestion is available,
    • Select a key from the list of all the keys from the keys file, in case it has not been identified at all,
    • Click on a key to select it as a legend. By default the first identified key is defined a legend,
    • Remove a mis-identified key by clicking on the x icon.

The synchronisation with Lightroom is automatic and instantanous.

In the case where the synchronisation with Lightroom is not happening, close Joruna and restart the procedure. If the problem persist, restart Lightroom and retry the procedure.
